Is there a cost to join the Women in Data® community as a member?

No!  We do not charge our members, either at the point of signing up or to attend our events.  We feel strongly that our members shouldn’t be held back from career and personal development based on finances.  Our incredible partners cover the cost of our events.

I have questions about my career, can you help?

Whilst we support career development, we do not offer a recruitment service as such.  Here are a few suggestions that we can offer:

  • Visit our job board to find roles advertised by our trusted partners, committed to diversity in their teams: https://womenindata.co.uk/diverse-data-jobs/.  If there is nothing at present that is right for you, there is an option, on the right-hand-side, to set up job alerts.
  • Our recruitment partner, Datatech Analytics, may be able to help.  Please send your CV to commercial@datatech.org.uk along with as much information as possible, such as the location you are looking to work in and salary requirements.  If you’d like to find out more about them, visit: www.datatech.org.uk.
  • Network as much as possible to unearth opportunities.  Our events are great for this, so please ensure you are a member of our community and keep an eye on your emails for details of forthcoming activities.

Where can I learn more about a commercial partnership with Women in Data®?

If you would like to discuss further, please email partnership@womenindata.co.uk.

I’m not based in the UK.  Can I still join the community?

Yes!  Our community reaches right around the globe and we frequently hold virtual events.  So, no matter where you are, there will be opportunities to connect, engage and belong.

I’d like to volunteer, how can I raise my hand?

Thank you for your interest in volunteering!  Sign into your member account and ‘modify your registration’ details.  Under ‘Volunteering with Women in Data®’ select all that apply to you and save.  We will let you know as soon as something comes up that we feel could interest you.

Would you consider collaborating with a not for profit/charity?

We are always open to discussing collaborations with mutual benefit.  Please contact us with as much information as possible so we can put the suggestion forward to our committee.

How can I volunteer to speak at an event?

Please update your community registration, under ‘Volunteering with Women in Data®’, to include ‘speak at virtual events’ and/or ‘speak at live events’.  We review these details when organising our events and we will be in touch if we have something that we feel could interest you.

Do I have to be a woman to be part of the community?

No!  Our community is open to all.  We appreciate that making a significant difference requires everyone to be on board and we value our allies.

Do you partner with recruitment agencies?

We have one recruitment partner and for the foreseeable future, we will be unable to consider other applications.

I wish to advertise a job on the Women in Data® job board.  How can I do this?

Our job board is for the exclusive use of our partners.  To find out more, please take a look at our brand partner pack.

How do you allocate tickets to Women in Data® events?

Due to high demand, all in-person event tickets are balloted to ensure fairness.  We will be in touch with as much notice as possible to confirm whether we can offer a place.  Virtual session places are not as limited; therefore most will allow you to register to attend without going through the ballot process.

Where can I find you on social media?
