Sarah Barr Miller is Director of Data and Automation at British Airways having joined in April 2021, still mid-Pandemic. Her team curate and manage the data that underpins a global airline, travel business and retail platform who are currently going through a substantial modernisation programme which Sarah leads.

Sarah joined BA after a 20 year career working in data and analytics leading global teams to deliver action-focussed data-driven insights and solutions. She spent a pivotal 12 years at dunnhumby - a global leader in data, synonymous with Tesco’s success – where, as Data Director, she worked with retailers across the world to better understand and utilise their data through activities like marketing, pricing and promotions.

She joins BA at an exciting time in the airline’s story and is taking the lead to migrate data and analytics into the cloud to enable a faster speed of decision-making and operationalised machine learning. In addition her team deliver tangible value and a better customer experience by automating process through RPA technology. This focus allows her to focus on her passions of people development, value-generation and data-led transformation.
